Fire

Yesterday Shane ran to IGA really quick to get some stuff for dinner. He was gone for like, 5 minutes before he called me and told me that he was seeing a lot of smoke in the sky. I turned the TV to Channel 10 News and sure enough, there was a fire! It was a brush fire so it wasn't near any houses or businesses, but it was huge! It wasn't very far away so after dinner we jumped in the car and found a safe spot to check it out. By the way, I was dumb enough to leave without my camera so I had to use my phone. :C



This picture was taken at PIR. I felt kind of silly jut sitting there, but after a while a couple of other cars pulled up and people got out to take pictures. So we weren't alone!

We drove closer and stopped on a bridge, where a bunch of other cars were already parked, and took this video:

The last thing I saw on the news last night after we got home was that 25 homes were being evacuated just as a precaution because the wind was starting to pick up. There was smoke in the sky today but it's not as bad as last night. Hopefully they can put it out soon!
